Sport Compact Car has done an engine swap in a '91 MR2 Turbo. They dropped in a V6 from a Lexus ES300 and supercharged it. The V6 bolts right up with really no problems except for one bolt that didn't hook up right.

But other than that their MR2 V6 S/C is one hell of a car, that probably totaled out to around $10K which isn't bad for considering how fast that puppy probably is.

The 13B is out of the question. No way in hell will that motor survive on stock internals with 400HP. I'd be amazed! You already hear about Rx-7s having enough problems with stock power.

I've read that the Eclipse's have transmission problems, but other than that the motors hold up well.

The MR2's motor I think has some realibility issues, but it's better than the 13B.

This is just from what I've read on other enthusiasts sites

Yeah I saw that article in then SPCar they are also going to turbocharge that engine. I think they called it Compound Induction. I cant remember though. A supercharger for low-end torque, and a turbo for the top end horsepower. Thats really crazy.
RX-7s do have the internals for 400hp. All there is is an eccentric shaft, and two rotors. The apex seals are the problems, stock seals will blow under too high boost, or over revving. 3mm seals take care of that.
