Yea, I got the vid off kazaa... I got that one of him doing the 3rd gear burnout on that street, another one where he races the R1, and another one where he has it on the dyno...

On the dyno vid, he had to have a couple guys lay in the back to help it keep traction...

I don't know if I could take a 240 through 280Z and put in another engine when there's so many goodies available for the L18 six. (Webers, Webers, Webers, Webers) But, tack an X onto that name and I couldn't care if you turned the thing into a hibachi. In my opinion, the Z lost its way until the 2nd gen 300ZX, and even then it wasn't the Z that was so fondly spoken of in the seventies. It was heavy and expensive, as opposed to the time's greatest performance sports car bargain.

If I were going to do a swap, I'd take the twin-turbo 300ZX engine and put it into a long-nose 260Z with IMSA style fender boxes, side exiting exhaust and a massive intercooler. As soon as it's spooled, goodbye.

A VG30DET swap would be nice too, that would work even better than a SB for weight distribution. Hmm, I have to go measure my old friend's 280Z, and see if it would work for my project...

I suggested it because I'm doing it in 1/25th scale with my Dad using the old Revell BRE Datsun 240Z kit and a Tamiya 300ZX. I know it isn't exactly an accurate statement, but according to the two kits, there's at least three to four inches of clearance under the hood of the 240Z.

I think Cbass is claiming ownership of one of the 650 Enzo Ferrari's that were produced this year. All of which are already presold. Of course, at $670,000.

If you've seen pics of the car, though, you may have doubts about how they could claim that price. It's no Modena and FAAAAAR from being a 250GTO or 365/GTS Daytona Spyder.

No, Enso Carsini is a fine Italian shoemaker actually . Actually, most of their shoes are made in India, but the top of the line Carsinis are made in Italy. They're leather lined and padded, and they look really nice. I have two of them, maybe I should change that to "Two black Enzo Carsinis, tan leather interior, dynamic air suspension" :hehe:

I have that in my sig because right now I'm too poor to have anything on the road...
