Re: crush vs. mandrel piping

I really need to get a chart with and without the cutouts open since we cut down the over the axle pipe to 2.5"

Re: crush vs. mandrel piping

stig, im working on it

it is acutally 2.36. i did some research, and 2.5 i'd lose power w/o cams, and 2.0 would be the equililant of running the stock exhaust w/o the muffler. so, when the rest of the exhaust comes(where my actual leak is), it'll be kinda a mixture of the 2'' and the 2.5'' header and mid pipe which is also 2.5'', with the hks. sounds mean with a header. i have a sound clip of that as well, from another person on a different board that im a part of as well.

and so thats all the performance mods that i plan on doing for this car, for the mean time. i was going to surprise just about everyone, but the whole turbo thing went under. i ended up parting out my 'custom setup' and got back more than what i payed for everything new. damn crappy automatic that cant hold more than 210whp, or around there. and i was hoping for around 250whp. damnit.

i have no idea what else i'm going to do to it in the future, as the b15 sentra is starting to have more aftermarket support and such. lets just say a vq35de sentra is a little bit more common nowadays, and it costs about the same as a turbo kit. mid 13s, all motor, in a 2800lbs car. i think thats a great idea.

or there is 2 more options:
sr20ve build up. i mean crazy like stroker kit, resleeving, sr20ve 20v cams, 12:5 compression, etc...
or
cam and turbo the car, with a tranny swap.

basically, anything i want to do eventually would have a tranny swap. and the only trans i would swap in is a 03 or newer 6spd from the spec-v's. too bad it costs about 800 alone for the bell housing that'll bolt right up to the sr20de/sr20ve.

and none of this would be happening anytime soon. so i got time to research, reasearch, and when i think i know what i want to do, research somemore.

but this is what i have planned so far within the next 2 months or so. all these parts are actually with me, or on the way.

CAI(installed)
Header(back order)
Exhaust(installed)
Midpipe(back order)
