just hang around the engineering/technical and cars in general forums, search on stuff you want to know, if it hasn't been asked/answered before me and the other guys who frequent those forums will be more than happy to help with whatever you need/want to know.

i agree with 2.2. just stick around the technical parts of the racing section. as you read about these things about your car and such, you will understands cars pretty buch with basics. how stuff works is another great site and also is google if you have a question about something. just go to the library or barnes and noble if you want a hard copy book.
o and btw, don't forget to rotate your tires so that the left ones aren't on the right side and such. that wouldnt be a wise thing to do, causes steering problems.... lol
