yes pros do use auto trannys but first, take a look at what's inside the tranny. it will take a few thousands more to build a auto tranny to handle what a manual can. street wise, you don't have the cash flow to afford the auto trannys the pro's use, while in a manual, all you need is a new clutch

and about the nitrous thing, don't get caught with it in your car. cops will hassle you till the day you die. some cops will let'ca go, but most of them won't. it's also a safety hazard to have a nitrous bottle in the vehicle without having a blowout/by tube.

Umm. No. Manuals are better. Autos are slow, really slow in civics.

Re: Automatic tranny civic worth it?

You missed the point of what he was saying. If you can drive a maunal car really well and know how to drive it properly kool, but most people (even people who drive manuals on a daily basis) don't know how to launch or shift properly and with an aout you don't have to do any work.
And this damn thread is almost 2 years old people; use some f***ing common sense and stop pulling up old ass threads. If you want to talk about something that is old then start a new one.

Re: Automatic tranny civic worth it?

I would just trade it for something in a manual. Autos just suck.
