the reason why AWD was prohibited was an effort to outlaw the GTR completely when it dominated group A touring car championship. also for the EVO and GTO. dollar for dollar mod the EVO will make more power. a reflash, fuel pump, cams, more boost, clutch, alcohol injection and your good for about 400 +/- on the stock turbo and injectors and should be good for high 11's in the 1/4 with a great driver. that is around $4000 in mods. the STi is totally out of the picture when it comes to modding as the STi can barely get 300whp on hte stock turbo. so to get 400whp on a STi you would need larger injectors, reflash, bigger turbo, front mount intercooler conversion and if you want it to be reliable you need to strenghten your internals in the engine which adds to close to 7-8K in mods.

for around 4k you could supercharge the gto for at least 500+hp with conservative boost. thats got to be good for 11s as well.

th gto lacks power luxury and looks . its aerodynamics is stupid and the styles are as bitchin as a chevy broncos

yea i agree, the gto is more luxurious than an evo, has more power, and looks better. the gto is not a very aggressive looking or stunningly attractive but its looks definitley surpass that of the evo and sti. sedans are just not nearly as cool as coupes no matter how fast they are. is this guy trying to say hes 10 or tn lol? he obviously doesnt know as much about cars as he thinks.
