Re: why get big brake kit?

I have slotted/dimpled rotors with some semi-metallic pads, and SS brake lines. I think the braking feels pretty damn nice. I can't really compare to stock ones, cause the old rotors were warped. But, the pedal does feel alot better because of the SS lines. Got them at Turboimport.com

Which would allow you to stop in a much shorter distance without F'n up your brakes.

Re: why get big brake kit?

Yeah, but I dont think they actually do anything for the frictitious (is that even a fuckin word?) force of the breaks do they? I should have said too that that just what made sense to me.

Re: why get big brake kit?

sorry for bringing this back, however, some people seemed interested and no one could say wether or not it worked out and I found out the VR4 Brake Conversion wont work... to install the VR4 brakes on an eclipse, the spindle from the VR4 has to be modified in order to fit the stock T/E/L front shaft bearings and hubs. i guess it could be done if you have the time, tools, and know-how, but its not worth the time to me... also, in order to fit you'll need 18"+ rims, other wise the calipers have to be ground down to clear the spokes (for 17" rims) just a little more info i found out thought you guys might be interested in.

Also, does anyone know if the 1g Brackets will fit for the 2g AWD brakes on a 2g? i bought calipers not even thinking about needing the brackets i found some for a 1g for $25 shipped, will they work? i also already have the SS lines coming from RRE, and my calipers have been painted, i have drilled/slotted rotors, just need the damn brackets. anyone know any info on this or have some 2g AWD brackets forsale i could pick up for about that price? thanks

Me to... you can still do it... just need to rigg it a little, i'm not going to, but hell, you could if you really REALLY insist on 13" rotors... lol which i really want BTW... but i'm not that insistant... i'll just do the 2g "big Brake" off an awd... BTW, anyone know anything about the 1g AWD brackets on a 2g FWD w/ 2g AWD calipers?
