My brother has been running a blower in his Thunderbird Super Coupe for YEARS reliably -- just changed the belt is all -- re lubed once or twice -- the days of the giant unreliable drag-type blower are over........

The last NA GM car I had was an 82 Olds Cutlass Supreme -- I LIVED UNDER THAT HOOD -- put me off all GM products EVER SINCE!!! And don't tell me it was that car, because I also had an 81 Cutlass that was so bad the main bearings turned -- the engine exploded and caught fire -- the dealer replaced it with that EVIL 82! This was in 1982 and these were BRAND NEW GENERAL MANURE cars!!!!

I have had 7 Fords since -- put at least 150,000 miles on EACH, with regular maintenance -- NO PROBLEMS!!!!

Sadly, before 1982 my entire family LOVED GM cars! Cadilacs, Chevys, Buicks, and Oldsmobiles, were standard among my aunts, uncles, parents, and siblings.... today there are many Fords, and many more foreign cars among us........ consensus: my family says, to a person, that GM LOST IT BAD!!! That's 72 people by last count.... the only hold out was Uncle Bud AND he changed his tune when his Olds Aurora blew a head gasket 3 months after he took delivery in 94!

SAD testemony for the Biggest Car Manufacturer in the world!

thats pretty funny Tcobra

I too sadly share in your despair. My older brother and younger sister have turned to the dark side with their purchase of a Bimmer and Volks-shit-wagen respectively. The signs of the apocolypse seem to be everywhere.

Cryptic?? What is cryptic?? Have you NOT studied history?
The USA USED to lead in so many ways. But today try to buy an American made TV. YOU CAN NOT!!!
Now we have a generation of young people spending VAST amounts of American money trying to make their japanese econo boxes perform like American Muscle cars. I assure you, the japanese car makers laugh each time "High Rev Tuners" is broadcast on Speed Vision.
Why is there no "High Torque Tuners" program on Speed Vision? Because our children do not receive the education necessary to understand the physics behind the BS they have learned to parrot from one another. That's why.
American Pride and the American Work Ethic have given over to the Mantras of the Liberal Left. The worst of these are BASICALLY "All Americans are Bad. All Americans should feel guilty. Level the playing field." Remember, but nuggets in the Liberal Left gain and maintain power through fear and ignorance. (Just like Stalin and Hitler.) The average 20-something American Male today COULD NOT HOPE to achieve what an average 20-something American Male could accomplish 30 and 40 years ago. Yo Daddy Rap Master could NEVER fly a spacecraft. My generation COULD!
Where is YOUR PRIDE? Who's the retard here? Well Junior?
Learn the lessons taught by history or die an IGNORANT FOOL!

Old enough to know what it's like to not be able to pick and choose when to pee.........
Wise enough to listen to those who have been through this before me.....
Confident enough to speak my mind..........
Sick of living in a world full of whimps that have been beaten out of their manhood by fat assed liberal women and their weak-minded and souless male counterparts..............
I care not for your feelings. I care not for political correctness......

The scariest thing in all of this is that I have lived long enough to see that Senator McCarthy may have been right... we ARE over run with Communists and Socialists -- we just call them Liberals today.......

Communists?, Liberal right?

Bro--the world is overrun by evil. Your aforementioned named 'plagues' are the a tiny microcosom of what is going on in the world. Do you think progress is made in this world---when there is so much inequity in other countries? Do you think that our country isn't responsible for a great portion of the suffering in this world? Haven't we been the only country to use an atomic device---on a live population? What do you consider a great plague in this world? Being outperformed by rival nations---is no cause for alarm. But the impending world war that approaches----surely is! Tune the hell out of your cars fellas-----time is short!!!!

p.s. Screw Hondas-----they are mostly driven by dweebs anyway

Bought one.... best stock car I have ever had the pleasure of racing. Has great handling. Looking @ a Ken Bell supercharger already though, and only 1088 miles on this car. Hoping to break into the high 11's and still drive it every day.

Swift and cruel retribution is and was warranted. I feel NO guilt for us having used that weapon. NONE WHAT SO EVER. Ask an old Chinese what the Japanese did to his family. Ask the sons and daughters of the crews at Pearl Harbor what the Japanese did to them. Ask my wife's sister how she is going to raise her kids because their father was in the North Tower on 9/11! For every measure of pain we, the United States, have metered out, we have given SO MUCH MORE in help and comfort to the world. We have been paid back with treachery, hatred, and violence.
As for a world war, what is there to fear? Most rational nations will take pause and remember the good we have done, the wars we have averted, the despots we have vanquished. The irrational nations will FEEL OUR WRATH. They will live or die by their own actions.
A misguided British Prime Minister (Navel Chamberlain) once thought he could reason with Hitler. Then Hitler invaded Poland. A misguided Japanese Emperor thought he could rule the world, attacked a sleeping giant, AND PAID THE PRICE.
What does this have to do with cars? We continue to buoy the economies of countries that have proven treacherous. Why do you think the European Community was so worried about German Reunification? Twice in the last century the German Nation rose and KILLED. The Chinese remember many Japanese incursions that cost them dearly. We seem to forget, too easily, the affront to our nation that happened on December 7, 1941.
To blame ourselves for world misery is preposterous. While we may have significantly influenced World History, we have done much more good than bad, more right than wrong.
As for the middle east, if not for the United States, they’d still be eating sand and whipping their ass with their bare hand. Come to think of it, despite the wealth of their leaders, many of them still are. Perhaps THEY should kill Sadam.
So, who is to blame? NOT ME! I WILL NOT APPOLOGISE!

Turn people off, turn people on, this old boy does not care. Unlike the world-whipped PC masses, I speak my mind......... Feelings are or women and whimpy men.

I ABHORE people who beat around the bush. Come out and say what's on your mind. Life is too short to keep it inside. I have been this way all my life and I have:
A successul business
A woman who loves me
Children who think I am superman
Many hot cars
Many, many like-minded and unlike-minded friends who appreciate an HONEST no-punches-pulled opinion......... screw the rest.....

Tact isn't my strong suit. SOOORRRRRYYYY...

OOOOOOOOOOOOOORAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Is that the tough guy routine? The funny thing is you expect people to respect your opinions while you bull doze over other peoples. Yes, you should speak what you think, but without turning every body away. Unless your only goal is to express your own opinion without thought of changing anyone elses. You have some true points in your rambles, to bad no one is going to listen to ya.
