Hehehe...

My hatch is REALLY dark. Most people think it's black or something, and then they're like "Woah! What the..? You're car is green?!" It's only when the light hits it at the right angle then BAM! bright green...

The color I used is Dark Bowling Green Metallic. It's the dark green for the newer Corvettes.

I want do do black with blue pearl or silver with blue. just wanted to get a idea on what a nice paint job costs. -thanks

I paid $3300.

That's including the cost to paint and install the body-kit and the hood, and replacement of the windshield (was a little dinged up). They cut me a really good deal, because I told them that if they did a really good job, I'd be sending people down to their shop, so (according to them) they actually did about $6,500 worth of work to it (I actually believe this). They fixed all my dents/dings, and did some trick shit to the hood to make it fit right.

They didn't take it down to bare metal (except in places where they fixed some dents).

Anyways, if you want a show-quality paint-job, be prepared to spend some money. However, one thing that will save you alot of money is if you stay with the same color... That way, they don't have to paint inside your door-jams and all that. So I don't know what color car you've got right now, but if it's already black, you could easily do the black with blue pearl, without alot of extra work.

I would check with your local shops and do the same thing I did, tell 'em to do a good job, cuz you wanna show the car, and you'll send 'em some more peeps...

- Im gettin a custom paint job also, w/ some kind of designs, but im stuck on what kind of design i want. i know the colors i want :
- Fahrenheit Red w/Tri-coat metallic finish ! - w/ metallic black and PURE white, ( the brightest white.. thats not the name.. but u know what i mean ) - mostly gonna be the red color, i saw it on a concept car , the PONTIAC GRAND PRIX , i saw it from the other side of the room ! glows like.. glow in the dark things. Its hella cool. ( inside of cars matchin outside also if yer wonderin.. why all the colors ? ) But i'd go w/ metallic finish for sure. Brings it out, and IMO i think cars w/ some kind of design looks really nice !
- thas jus my 2CENTS

i have seen ci5ic's car in person. if you like green i would hands down recommend checking into it. in all honesty i am not a green person what so ever. i like the blue scale. however, i can appreciate a nice paint job. holy manoly does he have a nice paint job.....the color is beautiful!

i have only 1 problem with a custom mixed peral colors....if you ever have damage to repair it will be hard to match the color again. believe it or not, the technique of the painter make a lot of the difference. people don't realize if it's sprayed a little wet...a little dry....1 more or less coat of paint makes ALL the difference in the depth and appearance of the pearl/metallic....

with that said, when i finally get my car painted i will most likely find a color i like on another car. because it is a stock color it will be easier to duplicate over and over again vs. a completly custom created color. travis_118 found his color on a bravada....who would have guessed? start checking out any and every green car you see on the street

Yeah, you can still do pearl on the white. My brother in law used to have a big white K5 Blazer with pearl ghost flames on the front, they were multi-colored pearl, so you couldn't really see them except in the right light. Looked damn good. I think a blue pearl with the white would look smood like buddah.

Cool, white with blue does sound quite nice, the only thing is is that it wont go with my white/silver/polished color scheme. But i guess that it shouldnt matter....hopefully it wont cuz white with silver pearl doesnt sound like itd be that nice looking.
