question # 1 : Painting of chromed components.
- Remove chrome and paint or paint over chrome? |

I think you can paint directly over chrome

Yeah you should be able to just paint over chrome but you might want to sand off the chrome, just in case the paint doesn't dry on it properly

Chrome doesn't provide a very good "key" for the paint so it flakes off quite easily. Flat paints for some reason come off really easily - which can be good when doing grilles.
If it is a surface that gets touched then I would consider giving it a sand with very fine grit sand paper. Cheers GM

Hi Tazdev.
I had finished that kit yesterday. One tip, be careful with the painting job over the body work. I had paint the body work six times!!! It happens because it's was my first two colour car, so working with MS-3 Tamiya paint, it's not easy, but after I read some tips from Primera Man (how to use masking tape, how to do a good dry process) I achieve a nice job. I think. Be side that problem it's no difficult to build it. Sorry I don't have a good digital camera to post some photos here. Nelson |

You're getting really on with it. Looking good so far!
A couple of idea's 1. Never considered of replacing the seat belt decals by after market PE ones? 2. Maybe you can drybrush the edges of the brake discs a bit and darken the callipers a bit, then drybrush them again, so that detail will stand out more. The discs will be visible through the rims. Keep on the good work.
