I know what it means to total a car. I just didn't know if they went by 100%, or 50%, or whatever % of the cars value. I've heard of companies totalling cars for damage that was much less than the cars value, and I was just wondering if ther was some type of standard for determining whether or not a car will be totalled.

As previously stated, a tire blew mid turn. How does something so unpredictable make it so clear that I am a horrible driver?

How am I a menace to other drivers?

You are a menace to other posters, and perhaps it's better if you stay off the boards for a while. Go back to gradeschool (or complete it), and learn to read.

okay i know from a friend that when he got bapped, something broke with his ebrake. because the ebrake alone was damaged, aside from the cosmetic damage done to his bumber, they declared it totaled because of the damage. It just happened to be a 86 corrola, or as some of the tofu crew might call it a hachi roku. I dont know the retail value nor how much it would cost to replace the ebrakes so this may or may not help ...

The car wasn't driveable, so they came and looked at it, and took the list of damage to a cheap place (they said dealership would be way more). Not including the possibility of suspension or unibody damage, the amount was over 1900, and they are most likely not going to total it, but I am still selling my custom as heck speaker box, it's for 2 12's and looks hella trick. Email or IM me for pics and info.
