The battery issue is relevant only if you are using the Place CAI; the Hot Shot CAI actually was a better fit and probably would not have needed the smaller Optima. An ounce of prevention is worth blah blah blah.. would suck to find it didn't fit on Sunday afternoon once you have the car in pieces huh? You can always return the battery. LOL I am pretty sure they don't know about the MAF deal though in the newer G models so its worth a call at least? About the AEM bypass valve, did it set off your check engine light? And where did you tuck away the AMB temp sensor Brian?

Henry, are you referring to the temp sensor which is between the battery and the coolant resevoir? The cold air extension has a hole with a rubber grommet to put the sensor in.

The only thing that wasnt accounted for was that small rubber hose which goes to a sensor near the MAF. I just tie wrapped it near the MAF

The BPV did not set off the engine light, not sure how this would as long as you put the BPV before the MAF

Hey B-boogie, are you still planning on doing a write up for your CAI? I'm doing the same exact install and I need guidance. :help: Oh and I was reading another one of your posts about the AEM bypass valve. You said you avoid puddles, but isn't the bypass valve supposed to prevent any water from getting into your engine? or would you recommend me to stay away from puddles anyway.

Anyway, if you have the time, I would really like some help.
