well, we all know f-body guys are infallable, and would never do anything to resemble a "ricer" like put emblems from a different trim on his vehicle, so it has to be a ws6

hmmm i dont doubt a civic took a WS6, but that civic would have to have had a really good turbo setup with a good tune. It also could be the WS6 driver was an idiot. LS1's have a monster third gear, so he may have been catching up. Oh well, props to the civic driver for a fast car. Anything can happen on the street.

When will domestic realize that certain all motor setups in a light ass 4th gen civic keep up with and even beat V8s? Its possible! I mean shit, most 4th gen hatches with a GSR motor will turn high 13s easily. Anyone ever seen the video of a 5th gen civic whooping ass on a viper? I like that one. Or how about the one with a red 5th gen whooping up on a a new vette? its happens, but you know what they say "the first symptom of ignorance is Denial..."

yeah...

Sorry but its going to have to take more then just throwing a GSR engine in a Civic to beat a Viper. Those videos, well its not like there isn't a 400+ hp Civic out there somewhere, matter of fact was watching TNN today and they had a Civic on there racing, I think they said Pro 4th Cylinder. Anyways, slicks on the front, completely fiberglass body, probably fast as shit, I wouldn't know though I didn't watch long enough.

Another thing about slicks. I was asking someone on the Viper forums about slicks on a Viper. He was pretty much telling me because of the independent suspension, you'll snap the halfshafts easily with a big set of slicks on there. There is a way to fix that and all but what about a Front Wheel drive car? You can't really put a wide set of slicks on a Civic can you?

What 'All motor' setups beat a standard Chevy 350 V8? Can you say the same for a 396? Or a 427?

Yeah dude, it's been beat to death. Believe me there are idiots on both sides of the import/domestic saga. When we all choke down our pride and race what you've brought, don't cry when you loose, and congradulate the people the brought the better vehicles and come away with a win, we won't need the spokesmen of the different sides of the story to post about who's seen the better ride with the cooler mods. I'm tired of the whole my import/domestic is better than yours routine. It's fucking old. Remember, always bigger fish in the sea, regardless of the badge on the hood. And really, no offense meant to you EFsleeper, you comment just happened to set me off. Sorry bro.

That said, mad props to the civic that won and to the WS6 that lost. Stupid people that don't know how to shift their 6 speeds deserve to get wasted.

Bisi Ezeroah <sp> has a 1.5l CRX in the 10's. there are a few others in the 10's n/a too. As for his setup, I'm not sure what it is, but not bad for n/a in any car.

First, I never said a simple GSR swap would be a viper so learn to comprehend basic paragraphs. Second, No you cant run a large set of slicks on the front of a civic but you can run a set that will do the job just fine. There is no need to modify the body of the car unless you are trying to 10s or 9s. Third, I dont know what cars you are placing these chevy motors in so i cant really make comparison. I also dont know what these motors normally run but if you give me a list I can let you know what will be comparable.

Hell yes! i love the sound of a V8 around 5800 rpm... and the crackle through the exhaust when you let off! an its cool about your post man. I wasnt posting it in the sense that imports are better over domestics, so you didnt offend me at all. I just hate all the domestic guys who refuse that some imports are in fact fast. I like V8s. I like imports. I just like to go fast. I just choose to have an import. I have considered getting a mustang though. My friend is starting to get me hooked, love the torque. Something that I miss with my Honda!

We all want the same thing- to have a bad ass car. I dont see why we have to be so mean to each other. Respect each others cars for what they are and what they can do. Dont be an ass to your fellow auto enthusiast. And if you want to be an ass there is a man who lives down the street from me who is around 57 years old with a goddamn 84 dodge omni that is tagged, inspected and runs 11s. im sure he will be willing to race you. Theres always gonna be someone faster than you out there.
