i believe the closest dyno available here runs about 75/hr....or 300dollars to rent for an entire day. I'm not sure how much it would cost for one run just to test HP and torque.

Jimmy, thank you for clearing up the 40hp exhaust issue, we can't have people believing something like that now can we.

The amount you gain from a free breathing system (Intake, headers, exhaust) is proportional to the amount of hp you car has to begin with. Therefore a 93 hp civic isn't going to gain 40hp from those mods.....a supra maybe, but a civic would be doing good if you got + 15 or 20.

Yeah, while i won't deny Polygon seems to have some car knowledge, we don't need numbers like 40HP floating around in the CIVIC forum for an exhaust. Sometimes it's easy to forget different cars will see drastically different results.

I agree 40 hp is alot. !0 -20 sounds more reasonable but thats like jimmy says its all perportional to the mods. you cant hope to get that much out of a stock civic. and even with mods hwa maybe anothe 5 to 10 hp max. Check SCC mag they did a test on an exaust swap from stock to 3 1/4 aftermarket pipes. You will be suprised they only gained like 3-4 hp and minor torque. For spending that much is it really worth it. But thhen again if u got the $$$ who the hell cares.:smoker:

Yeah i remember reading that article...I was surprised to see SCC go with piping so large...I think that might have been where the low number came from.
