Re: And it begins

Testing for clearances with the bushwacker cutouts. 1.25" spacers out front, the back will get 1.5". I think I am going to powder coat the fenders and hood.

Re: And it begins

Not too sure as I bought it used. It has about 8-10K kms on it after a $5000 rebuild. 30 over 350, blue printed, balanced, and originally built to go past 7k rpm. They guy said he had it at around 10k a couple times. It has since had the cam changed to something more streetable. I think 2.02/1.60 heads. When I changed out the pan/valve covers intake on it everything inside looked great. He sold it to me with a gaurantee that it runs, and I don't have any doubts that it won't. Edelbrock performer rpm intake, 600 cfm carb, dual 200 amps alts (to charge my 4 optima blue tops). Tranny is 4.3 700r4 upgraded to v8 clutches and full $2200 rebuild. Bowtie overdrives TV cable setup. GM corvette rad and what not, the usual swap parts. Removed AC and installed a heater box from a non ac truck.

The truck has new ball joints, calipers, rotors, stainless steel hoses, pads, poly bushings all around, etc etc etc. I took the front end all apart and powder coated the torsion bars, control arms etc etc. You probably get the point. Installing 2 orion 2500d's, and I just sold the 4 12" premier tsw3k's that I was going to install. I think now I will build a wall with 2 18's.

edit: here is what the motor looked like when I bought it.

Re: And it begins

I work at a powder coating shop. I've been working on this here and there for over a year now. Spreading out the expenses over time makes it seem not as bad.
