it was from a dig not a roll, but yeah i wasn't really expecting to shock people with this kill,, just wanted to share it since it was pretty much what i'd call my first 100% true street race in this car.

i got the flowtech cutout welded into my I-pipe yesterday and i'm lovin' the sound ..the car seems to shift and accelerate smoother too.

if you really know how to launch, you should be able to kill a auto off the line..

in this sitiuation i would expect the trans am to kill it off the line auto or not
what i was saying is if the srt-4 would have got a good launch i think it would have been more like a bus and a half, depending on how far the race went
I disagree and agree.

All depends on how the auto is set-up.

I disagree, like Luos, but will also cite the fastest times on LS1tech.com for cam only cars:

While some of those guys up top have a stick shift, the majority of the guys with the fastest times are running automatics. In an AWD car it's easy to get a great time IMO, as I was cutting 1.8 sec. 60' times on street tires in my former Evo, but in a RWD car like the LS1 F Bodies they aren't as easy to launch.

There are dudes online posting high 11 sec. 1/4 mile times with bolt ons and a sick torque converter w/ slicks. They are practically impossible to mess up on off the line to boot.

Re: 98 trans am vs. 04 srt-4

oh no, i understand what you mean, its obviously EASIER to get off the line, but my point is, if your really good with your launch and are good with your stick, you should be able to get the jump.. if your that good with it

imo
