Emil, I don't mean to be rude, but go buy a fucking clue. #1 I already apologised for not checking the final drive ratio on a ZC #2 My EF9 has 10 bhp over the EDM EE VT. Likewise the JDM EG has 170bhp compared to the Euro EG VT's 160. Aussie EK VTiR's have 160bhp too. #3 Aussie Civics with the B16A are built in Japan to Aussie spec. The EG (Hybrids) and EK (VTiR) are damn quick, so quick that even with a weight penalty they are as fast as my JDM EF. The engines are often detuned for Europe due to shit fuel (sorry, but it's true - they detune them to a lesser extent for our market too as our fuel quality doesn't match Japan's). Please re-read everything that I have written, then rethink your little dummy spit about someone questioning your car. Initially in the other thread I simply asked your final drive ratio to hit 210 in 4th. No response. Then you post some stuff about how you can smoke cars with 160bhp/280bhp. Then we get a clarification about how you can get 280bhp cars in your country - fine, simple misinterpretation. Interestingly enough, others questioned this too but you seem to have fixated on me. Strangely enough, I haven't criticised your car once - simply the idea of an ECU making a car develop more power to the number of 30bhp to out gun a 160bhp car. Logically, either your car is making huge power with this mod or the other car is running like a P.O.S. If you can't deal with this, I don't give a flying fuck. I've tried to be nice and retract an error nicely yet you seem to be of the impression I'm slagging your ride. That's completely wrong. Lighten up and deal with it. (BTW, cars you get in Europe? Care-factor = 0 ). |

Setanta: I didn't know that yours 1.6VTEC VTI civic HB had 170HP stock (did I understend that right) cause ours have 160HP stock O.K. we can forget about this misunderstanding I didn't know that yours had 10HP more than ours, nobody mention that, cause with all folks that I talk they say that it has 160HP, aren't there two engins for B16A one is b16a1 and the other is b16a2(those I think are in civics 96-99' at least in our place) do bouth engins have more HP ??? But I always said that I smoked 160HP one not 170HP, but nothing to worry I'll shot a video of teg TypeR and mine and we'll see how it'll go and then you can compare it cause teg in our place and your place has 190HP is that right... Oh yeah by the way now my time 0-60 mph is under 8s I must test it what's the time now, but on video is 8s( I couldn't push 1 gear and 2 max, cause the road was wet) What I'll try is to be somewhere arround 7s or less no matter what it needs to be done P.S.: I must apologies too if I said something wrong cause probobly I didn't understend the meaning of some word or I read it wrong, after all you must understand that English is not my first language...

It's aD16A9 engine but everytime I mention that engine to Americans(I hope that Isaid that right) they all say it to me that that is ZC engine so that's why I said it's a ZC engine, but I'm still saying to everyone that it's a D16A9(130HP)engine if anyone ask me...
I wrote that down just becose so many peopel said that that engine is yours ZC, so I don't know now where I stand so decide it people what type of engine is that ???? But I won't have any problems with that engine cause I'm SWAPING in a B16 I hope that anyone will be happy when I'll say I have a B16 engine in and then there won't be any complication!!! I hope that I explanation was good enough for you!

hey i have a DOHC ZC (D16A9) with a 89integra ecu (PG7) and a DX 5speed tranny and my 4th gear at redline will also do about 110-120mph if i shift it right in 4th gear its a pretty fast engine and the gears in the dx tranny and LONG and the ZC pulls them well
BTW in UK the MOST ZC's have ZC on the block like we DO but they say D16A8/9 (depending on model EE K KG ect...) they say the block # and the D16A8/9 and some of them say D16A6/7 (SOHC ZC) but some say it on the block in the UK since ZC is the jap designation NOT the D16A8/9 thats a UK and possibly aussie.. hope that clears up the confusion about emil engine.... |
