Re: kick panel enclosure question
I figured I'd chime in. I've done some work with fiberglass, and it takes a few tries to get it right. Honestly If I were you I would just upgrade the speakers in your doors. Get a good set of component speakers and an amp and you'll be all set. The easiest thing to do is mount the tweet in the door (its supposed to be close to the woofer) and maybe make an MDF ring to hold the speaker. This will allow the speaker to play with nothing blocking the sound path.

Re: kick panel enclosure question
Dude; if you're gonna go to a junkyard to get new panels; might as well gut the door and upgrade to power windows. You should be able to take everything you need from the junkyard; right?
All you will have to do is get power to the windows and the rest should be self contained in the door. I did this on a 2000 ranger for my dad. It was the better part of a saturday at the junkyard; and just a sunday morning to install since I already knew how it went together. |
