Re: GTO vs. Mach 1 Mustang

Nice kills. That was the outcome I expected from a roll. With weight and IRS playing less of a roll your car has a pretty big advantage over the Mach 1. I believe the Mach 1's are supposed to be faster in a straight line since they are a good bit lighter and have SRA. From what I heard they are about as quick as the LS1 F-Bods from a dig. The LS1's/2's trap a bit higher though I'm sure.

It's a low 13 second car. About the same as an LS1 from a roll, though the LS1 has a slight edge.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: GTO vs. Mach 1 Mustang

The Mach 1's are bitchin from a dig, but from a roll they stink. Bolt ons really don't seem to add power to them either, as they struggle to just get 300whp with almost full bolt ons. It's their suspension that lets them hang with an LS1 from a dig. They typically dyno around 280whp, so they are making a little more then 310hp at the flywheel.

Re: GTO vs. Mach 1 Mustang

I ran a modified Mach I in 4th and 5th gear (not the STi's strong point), and he inched on me the whole time. I'm sure now that you could beat an STi on a highway run with the GTO.

Oh man cool, I respect STIs alot but theres this one kid around here that has one and thinks he is God! I like em but I do have to humble him one of these days. I'll make sure to catch him from a high roll then.
