Well not the one's i've run into, sorry don't know what to tell ya. Maybe they couldn't drive. But on the highway there aint' much shifting you have to do so....i dunno whatever i just know that they aint that quick from a roll. Say what you want, but it hasn't been the case with me. Also what was done to your LS1 anything? It would take very little work for an ls1 to destroy an STI or Evo from a roll. I'm thinking mostly gears.
My LS1 has a lid and a cutout. Headers and cam are both in the mail. I will probably be in the 10s by the end of summer.

Here's a vid of the STi on a top end run. Pretty impressive for a stock vehicle.

yeah that's cool...

Ok so about ur camaro, what else you got planned to get into the tens? A cutout, LID, headers and cam ain't gonna do it alone. You going s/c or t/c? Maybe some nitrous?

Re: EVO IX vs. STi

Gonna need a full rollcage too, unless you wanna get kicked out of the track.

Not saying you didn't know that or aren't gonna do it, just sayin.

After the cam and heads are in I will be getting a beefier clutch and probably a 9inch rear end. Then I will be on slicks and skinnies with launch springs and complete suspension. My next move would be N20 and I might consider getting stroked...

I know what it's going to take. But keep in mind I have only had the car for about a month so I think I am doing okay....

Yeah a cage is no problem. My uncle has a shop and could hook me up with a custom cage for cheap.

More than likely the LS1 will just end up sitting in my storage garage with my CRX until I get almost everything I want to do to the car together. Once I have everything I will work on install it all with my dad and some friends. I am looking for a daily driver right now. I looked at a 350Z at a dealership near me and they said they'd give me quite a bit for my trade-in (my eclipse) so I might take them up on that.
