Re: transmission leak (correction COOLANT LEAK) photo...anyone got any idea?
I have the same problem on my 98 Bravada... Just removed the AC, Powersteering brackets and the alternator bracket on the left side. Takes time to remove hoses and wires... I originally posted a thread on "how difficult is it to replace the manifold gaskets." Received some great advice (see that thread). I decided to take digital photos like yourself so I can figure how to replace all the wires... marking them as well.
Not real sure how to mark the distributor however anyone done this? is there a long shaft to pull out? The lower gasket looks bad even in the front, some leaking and it is oozing out and looks like orange grease. Never done this and will remove carb next... Appreciate advice as well |

Did you pressurize the system? Did you lean the truck backwards like you had the first time you noticed it was leaking?

Re: transmission leak (correction COOLANT LEAK) photo...anyone got any idea?
Go up to the autostore and get a pressure tester. You hook it up to your rad, it replaces the cap. You pump the tester up to the recommended pressure it says on your cap, I can't remember off the top of my head but I think ours is 16psi. It will hold the pressure, then you can go look for the leak.
