Re: Insurance

ah, yes, ND. I handle business in that state. cheap insurance. and so, SL3000GT, I was speaking to the owner of this post, as I repeated what he said. male, 18, 5 tickets, and 1224/6 months. if you have that exact scenario then that is ironic!

Pretty damn close actually. 4 traffic tickets and one parking ticket, I'm 18 and pay about $1200 except thats per year.

Actually the earlier you get off their policy the better. I have never been on my parents policy. neither has my younger brother and we are paying less than our friends with similar coverages who were on their parents policys for years.

Re: Insurance

yeah, the quicker you get off their's the better... I was on my mom's for awhile... but then I got the Stealth... she heard the car the night I brought it home from the auction... then she saw it... that was the last day I was on her insurance...

She drove it one day, on the way back... she got out (at the house)... frowned, and said, "I hate your car... it's too low, too loud, and way too fast..."

Lol, I found it amusing/flattering

Hahahahaha Sounds like my mom. She was having an issue with her car so I met her at my aunts house to let her have my car for the rest of the day. Pulling out she went from almost stalling, to pealing out, to having a hard time hitting 2nd gear. She got home later that day and threw the keys at me. She told me she was never driving it again. Said it was too loud (broken dp), gears are too close (short throw helps with that), rides too rough (just too used to her own car), and too hard to get in and out of.

Re: Insurance

^^^Yeah, I get that a lot. Whether its too rough, to low so its hard to get into, and speeds to easy. Which frankly I agree with how easy it is to speed without knowing it. These cars ride so easy at high speeds.

Yes I almost get myself into trouble with that. Today in fact I went to pass someone (double lane) because I was running late for work. I look down at the speedometer and I was at 100mph. The speed limit on this stretch is 35.

Re: Insurance

I went 157 in a 55 once (or twice) and 150 in a 65 twice. I don't wanna go any faster than that.

Re: Insurance

Im pretty sure that would jail time at those speeds. That might almost be worth running from the 5 0.

Re: Insurance

Most over the speed limit I have gone is waaay too far over. I had some jackass following me and I ended up doing about 130 in a 35. Not smart. I have went 140 in a 65.

Re: Insurance

LOL If I was going that fast and a cop got me on radar he'd have a hell of time even getting close enough for me to see his lights flashing. I am good at "avoiding" cops too. Done it one too many times. Never evaded though.
