Definetly leave the trans attached to the engine and attach it to the block before reinstalling it. Labelling might take longer while ripping things apart but it will make the assembly 10x faster. You should be able to carry the bare block up the stairs with a friend they aren't that heavy, i've carried em to my trunk by myself.

Sweet thats good to know, I plan on taking it out tomorrow possibly if I can get my hand on some jack stands, 2 auto stores didnt have any
 WTF is that crap lol
