Re: Live QVC Caller

i thought that was why they didn't actually go "live" anymore. but a 5 second delay. Because I'm sure that if they could have prevented brodcasting toat caller they would have.

In terms of gaming, they suck. Sorry bout that. That's what I think.
Dell has several different catagories for their products. PC's in the Home/Home Office catagory and the Business/Gov't catagory are spec'ed to crunch numbers and process documents.

The PC's in the Gaming catagory are decked out with high-end video and audio and dual-core processors and all of that shit...better for gaming than their lower-end PC's.

Sorry for twisting the main topic here...but...

Yes I know...such as the XPSs. But they suck. Their Mobos are mounted upside down, so that the hot air that is coming from the CPU goes directly onto the RAM and the videocards if you dont have an internal integrated videocard. They're jsut poorly designed and highly inefficient...

If you are a real avid gamer, then you are not stupid enough to buy one of those overprices POS anyway. More than likely you are intelligent enough to build your own computer, for half the money.

Re: Live QVC Caller

that seemed fake to me.

by judging the presentor's reaction, it seemed unrealistic.
if you have ever seen one of those bloopers shows on TV, the presenters/news crews/etc. always subtly giggle or something when they hear something ridiculous.
they didn't. it seemed dubbed over.
also, i don't think QVC has audience - especially for selling computers, or if its really late at night as that suggested.

also, most of QVC's divisions are located in the eastern time zone (theres like one in Texas) - same time zone as Dover.

I thought the same thing...then I thought the vid might be recorded from a "bloopers" show that had the audience, and they were playing the QVC tape for their audience - so the laughter might have been coming from the "bloopers" show's audience.

Re: Live QVC Caller

Dell pcs are great for grandma, grandpa, mom, and dad. They email, run AOL, have technical support, and you can finance them. For anything else they just suck balls and are overpriced beyond beliefe.

Meh - they work well enough at the firm where I work. Stangely enough I am a computer tech - but I'm not a nerd. I don't go home to play with my computers after I have been fixing them all day - never really had a desire to spec out a good gamer.

But of all the name brand pc's that corporations buy (Compaq, HP, etc...) the Dell pc's have been the most reliable as far as processing documents and business-type shit.
