Re: First Time/Warning! May contain stupid questions.
Please use correct punctuation and spelling.
What type of paint did you buy, if you brought model specific paint, you can get away with not using primer.

Re: First Time/Warning! May contain stupid questions.
Then you don't need to worry about primer, just make sure to clean the body thoroughly before spraying.

Re: First Time/Warning! May contain stupid questions.
Sand what?
You don't absolutely have to do anything, really. It all depends on what you want the result to be. I know a guy who has 20-something models in his collection and he never sanded or painted any of them. Now it's not my cup of tea, but he's happy with it, and it's his choice. Now if mold lines and other imperfections don't bother you, don't sand the body. If you're not looking for the best possible result - don't prime it. It's as simple as that. People build models with different agendas in mind. Some are looking for untmost detail in every area, some are concentrating mostly on the body and aim to achieve the best finish, some are happy to build it unsanded and unpainted. It varies from builder to builder and from model to model. You need to set your goals and achieve them. We can't decide for you, and since it's a hobby, at least for most of us, well, there's nothing you absolutely have to do, as you put it.
