ok.....she starts overheating when we wait at the single light to turn. happens when we go on freeway or highway. also on city driving too when we get a long strecth of road to drive on but when we stop at a red light or a stop sign the needle moves up and takes a while for it to go back down when we start driving again. basically she overheats at the light/stop sign, when we drive non-stop for a few miles. :bandit:

ok pop your bonnet and look at your engine.Your radiator is located at the front( that thing that looks like a toaster). there are two pipes in fromnt of you made out of black rubber one is going to the back of the engine and one is round to the front unscrew the one whivch is facing you ( the front one) from the ENGINE SIDE WHICH SHOYULD REVEIL A FUNNY LOOKING THINGS WHICH RESEMBLES A RADIATOR CAR WHICH SHOULD HAVE TWO SCREWS REMOVEW THE SCREWS AND IT SHOULD COME OUT. when it does you will have to test it.If you havre a good eye then fairenought we will dscuss further if not swap it with someone with the same car ( dont matter what model) and see if that imprves if it does not then it may be the switch ( relay) or the fan itself ( sorry this may soundsilly does the fan come on at all) if nto it may be the fan itself ( have you also checked the fuse ) check them before taking the themo out. Also when you remove the thermo MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GASKET SEal for it before you REMOVE IT.As its needed when you come to install it .IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW DO THE ABOVE I CAN DO IT TO SOMONES CAR AND TAKE PICS BT THAT WILL TAKE TIME AND BY THEN I'M SURE YOU WLL HAVE HAD IT DONE.

I hate to revive this old post, but I'm experiencing a fan problem somewhat related to this topic. No offense, but not sure if I agree with peteyb's assumption about the two fans. I understand that one fan is to cool your (radiator) engine when needed and the other fan is to cool the A/C Condenser.

My problem is that my A/C condenser cooling fan is starting to make noise occasionally when engage. How can I fix this problem? Is there a way that maybe oiling it somewhere might help or replacing it is my only option?

Help me out Lord diesel_uk, I can sure use your input.
