Re: Long Distance Relationships

Long distance, means big phone bills dude!

New York is a long way from Texas, and I dont mean just the miles. Sounds like a Tuff one man, sounds like its gonna hurt a little too.

But it can work, I hav seen it!
But when it doesnt work out things can get ugly.
Good Luck XeVeNskyLiNE follow your gut!

Re: Long Distance Relationships

xero is right - get on the same VoIP provider.

Anyways, it all depends on how committed both of you are. If your both committed, you will be fine. If it's one and not the other you're screwed.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

aha, I know. If you really want to know how she feals about you then ask her to marry you!!!. This will be a good benchmark. its either now or never mate given she's a model there are going to be plenty of other guys who are going to want her just for her looks let alone whats in side........

Re: Long Distance Relationships

hes got a point...if your that serous and its been that solid....pop the question.

If she says no shes not thinking about you, shes thinking about the job. It would be a very quick reality check on whats more important. And if its you, well have to set up an AF wedding

Re: Long Distance Relationships

No way I'm gettin married this early, plus I couldn't afford it, atleast not right now. I won't even consider marriage until I'm atleast 21.

But anyways, she told me there's a possibility she'll stay here but just have to fly NY often.

You'll be real hungry by the time you get anything that she's cooked for you with that distance.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

hmm just say will you marry me in the year 2009 and see what she says, you should present her with a handfull of nothing and say that her ring hasn't been invented yet, Or you could loose her and settle for some fat 250kg chick who eats 20 pies for lunch (true story).

Hmm 18 hmm or you could just get it on and make her pregnant before she goes so you two are bonded for life.

is food your solution for everything when it comes to girls? it's a good thing we're not dating, i burn even the simplest cut out sugar cookies something tells me we just wouldn't get along since i can't cook

an AF wedding would be kickass, so i say propose to her just so we can all have a huge party.

on a serious note, like mentioned before, it'll only work if you're both 100% committed. for me, i was and he wasn't and things got really nasty last weekend. so to avoid further heartache, really make sure you and her are on the same page and going in the same direction before you decide to make things even more serious.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

i learned something in my Pluralism class today, (well, by learned, i mean i heard a new point of view, that i don't necessarily agree with);

Relationships in which both partners are ambitious and move up a social ladder, be it in career, status, or attitude, the relationship is likely to stay strong. Similarily, if both partners plataeu on the social ladder, be it in career, status, attitude, [even location], the relationship is likely to stay strong.
However, if either partner differs from the other on the social ladder, a relationship can very easily complicate and is likely to fail.

kinda technically said, but after i heard it, i tuned out the rest of class and just reflected on it, tried to apply it to myself, to others around me, to weigh out the sides... think about it. i came down to slightly agree, however, still think that it is something that can easily be worked on if sacrifices on both sides are taken.
