Had very few good experiences at contests and many bad ones so I started going to the source. I began displaying at real race car shows a long time ago and still do. The people seem to know what it takes to change a street car into a race car better than most modelers around here who only know that a current race car can be built straight out of the box and have no idea what it takes in searching out reference and in modification to turn Uncle Phil's Galaxie into a Holman Moody one. Not complaining, because I have met a lot of the drivers of the cars I build because of it.
