Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
There's this kid in Taunton, a friend of my friend, who has 3.4 Firebird w/flowmasters on it. Doesn't sound all that good. But they do sound sexy on 305's!!!!!!!

Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
Now this is a completely bizzare thread, one V8 owner says that Flowmaster sucks, and one V6 owner likes Flowmaster on a 6, it's usually the other way round.

I still think the Magnaflow has a better more refined sound than just about any exhaust system...including Dronemaster AKA Blowmaster. All I can come up with are flow numbers for mufflers and systems. Flowmaster tends to be in the lower 15%. It will take me a while to find them as well. But I will if someone wants.

Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
It is probably only a MAX of 5 HP.
To me...those 5 HP are worth it. Plus...in my opinion...Magnaflow sounds cleaner than blowmasters.

To you, it might sound like crap. But after listening to that Magnaflow mufler sound like a card being hit by a bicycle tire...I'd stick with Flow on my 6. |

Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
you have a 3.4 or a 3.8? I could somewhat understand you if you have a 3.4, since the 60 degree V6's had a better exhaust tone than the 90 degrees...

Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
very good point savage. I knew there was something different besides .4liter.
if you explain to me in a little more detail about how the degree of the motor efects the sound and flow that would be nice. |

Re: Flowmaster vs Magnaflow
its just different heads, and intake manifold. Different motors will just have different sounds. Like the ls1 sounds different than a sbc. its just different
