Not entirely true. I have contacted Eibach to order a set of 2000 Cobra R springs and was told that they only sell them to FRPP. I then asked if they could custom wind me some springs to the same specs and was told no and to contact FRPP if I wanted those. I contacted FRPP and they no longer carry the front springs and they had a very limited supply of the rear springs. So I went with the H&R race springs which have a comparable spring rate.

Re: So what type of springs are people going with these days?

They are good but over time just like any spring they tend to sag but they seem to do it a little quicker. I have had a set of race springs on my car for almost 2 years now and it sits level (this is not the sagging I just mentioned but rather the fact that I do not run spring isolators) and have thought about swapping the rears to 2000 Cobra R springs if I can find them. On an IRS Mustang the 2000 Cobra R Eibach are some of the best you can get but the rear springs are still soft. A spring rate of 1000 or higher is good for the IRS but no company makes them that high unless they are custom wound. The SN95 IRS is a beautiful thing not only does it handle better in the corners and require fewer modifications to perform well it is also 125lbs lighter when looking at unsprung weight.

Re: So what type of springs are people going with these days?

What about these drag springs eibach is selling. Skinnier, lighter, taller springs in front to make it rise and something for the back. I don't care about turns, but better weight transfer off the line would be really nice. Is there a cheaper brand or a better way to get the same thing without $250?

Re: So what type of springs are people going with these days?

$250 is a good price on brand name springs. Steeda also makes light weight springs but I dont now much about those. I tend to stay away from Steeda parts.

I don't know too much about these but I have heard good things about the company

Most basic suspension mods on any Mustang are easy do it yourself jobs.

Re: So what type of springs are people going with these days?

what year stang? eibach makes a good spring. pro-kit for a nice drop, sportlines for a really low drop. lower rear control arms are nice for traction but not necessary right out of the box. im going maximum motorsports upper and lowers in the rear and eventually tubular a arms in the front w/ kmember, sfcs, coilovers, the works.

Re: So what type of springs are people going with these days?

There was a place in that link you listed recently in another thread, 01L2Cobra, that had the spring rates of some aftermarket springs. I found it pretty informative.
