+1. i mean, i've got a lotta respect for you josh for being like that, but me, for example, i'm not someone who takes advantage of a girl. if anything, she's there for the same reason as me. One nighters are different for me than hooking up with someone i know or/and like. I barely even know the person, if at all. If i grow to like them, i'll go out with them. If i do find someone i like, i'm very loyal as well. I would never do anything dishonest or unloyal to someone i loved. Even if they pissed me off so much, and i know i still love them, i'd never do anything to hurt 'em.

It would be hard to imagine trying to be loyal to someone you hooked up with on the first night, even if you grew to like them. How could you ever trust them? That is no way to start a relationship. If they are willing to give it up when you don't even know each other it's probably not the first, or the last time.

One night stand does not = taking advantage of.
I only consider it taking advantage of when they are impaired (high, drunk, etc.), and I never understood how some guys think thats fun. Whats the point? Might as well hump the couch or a blow-up doll . I despise date rapists.

you're right, it is hard to trust them at first, but you'd be surprised at how many times i've seen it work out. my best example is my friend t-bag who met his current gf at a party for the first time, they both got drunk, ended up sleeping with eachother there, next morning hung out for a bit, liked each other, and they've been together for about a year now. it doesn't work for everyone, i guess.
