Re: What motor?

the lt1 is a gen II small block chevy... it will bolt up to the same things that a 305tbi tpi or 350tpi does... works with any third gen tranny... plus guys swap in t56's (only lt1 t56's not ls1) on their 305 tbi and tpi's... isn't the gen II sbc great?

Re: What motor?

just different fuel lines (not hard lines, but from the hardlines to the fuel rail) and a more powerful fuel pump (that's the hard part of the fuel system, dropping the tank...)

storm, getting ready to hook the trans to the motor then drop back into the car. I'm just slow and low on budget.

Re: What motor?

If you decide to go the LT1 route and are looking for a inexpensive motor. Shoot me a PM. I have a few in the garage. I can shoot you some pics. They have some good deals on ebay and threw local salvage yards as well though and you might be better off finding a local LT1 so as to not having a freight charge.

Re: What motor?

i'm getting close to 2yrs, but I did a lot more, and the car wasn't actually "down" until I decided to do the motor swap which began exactly one year ago.
