The ironic thing about the whole day was that my friends jacked up 4x4 Tacoma (with locking front differential - his car will haul ass) was too scared to go through the same mud trail that I went through, his excuse was that his truck isnt paid off yet and he cant risk breaking anything...which is understandable......I think I maybe pushed the cavalier to its limits that day.
u see. i bet a mustang wouldn't have made all the way through.

well, goodluck and i hope u still stick around.

LMFAO

You see, the immense power that the Cool Cav throws to the ground with its 14 inch front wheels just pulled it right through that mud.

Re: Farewell my fellow DSM'ers

Now all you gotta do is throw some mud grips, and a 13" lift on that bad boy.

Re: Farewell my fellow DSM'ers

A little off topic, BUT there is a guy in town with a 1979ish 280z with a 13" lift (at least) and like 44" mudders on 15x12(?) rims. Looks really silly

Cavaliers, fuck yeah! I almost beat a 5.0 in mine one day. I didnt get on the gas fast enough as I let out the clutch so it bogged hard core bad and then got up. It launched me, but I stayed with it once I got my shifting back. At like 65 when we had to slow down for the next light my nose was even with his rear 1/4 panel. I also raced my friends '88 Delta 88. I lost . The snow was melting and the roads were wet, I didnt even launch and I got no grip so I backed off and got a little traction and took it up. Then I nailed 2nd and they kept spinning! I was like fuck it and just held it there. Man it was fucking embarassing. It still slides better than any other punk ass in town, no one can touch the Big D when it comes to getting sideways . On the 80's Cavys though, when (more like IF) Mike finishes his DSM (after we are have good jobs and are fairly secure once we move out) we plan on buying an old cruster to covert to RWD and drop in a V8. For a while the Cavalier forum had like 10 newbies a week wanting to dop in a V6 or V8, but none of them had close to any clue what would need to be done. We do so if Mike ends up making a shit load of money and wants to blow it on a Cavalier then guess who gets to do 90% of the work?
