Re: Illegal People Of The USA

Illegals should be deported! There are too many hardworking people waiting to enter this country legally for that type of shit.

Simple things to you should do if you live in this country!

1. Speak the language!
2. PAY TAXES!
3. Atleast know the national anthem for christ sake!

End of story...

My biggest pet peeve ~ The immigrants in cali (I think) who came in an said "under god" in the pledge was unconstitutional... If you don't like it GTFO! Simple right...

(I'm not racist but I hate people who play it to the stereo type... )

Jason ~ Sweet quote on the sig so true...

Re: Illegal People Of The USA

This thread just serves to reminds me of how many Americans are totally closed minded about certain things.

How many posters in this thread has lived in a third world country?

I couldn't let this one go unanswered.........

There is a strong argument that the 'under god' part is unconstitutional.

However, given the historical context of these words, they should be left as-is, but people should have the freedom not to take these words literally.

Speaking of freedom, they DO have the constitutional right to speak their minds in the US without being told to GTFO. Yes, I know it's just a pet peeve of yours (and not a serious debate), but if you want them to do so, you need a better reason than that.

Re: Illegal People Of The USA

I haven't and I don't intend too...

As far as close minded, How is it close minded to not want a person to be legal in a country? How is it close minded to want a citzen contribute to society like everyone else? I pay taxes, I'm sure most of us do not to mention if your making minimum wage you do get a tax return. Close minded? I don't see how it's close minded to want a person to speak the same language as you. I'm sick of see everything in spanish this is america, American's shouldn't have to learn another language to communicate DAILY in there own country...

Re: Illegal People Of The USA

I said nothing about the wanting people to be legal, nor with the part about them speaking the language.
Heck, I'm tired of everything being in English and Spanish now, I don't want to have to listen to Spanish instructions when I call companies and I don't care to look at Spanish signs on every building either. You can blame the govt for it though.

I'm talking about the general attitude of this thread.

FYI, I think it's total BS for the illegals to get away with what they do because they give the ones that come in legally a bad rep.

But I have lived in crime ridden third world conditions and I can understand why they want to escape to the USA.

Re: Illegal People Of The USA

The only reason why I do feel strongly about this is a friend of mine is a Legal Immigrant. He works his ass off to support his wife an kid an lives in a 3 room appartment. He still has a Visa but it went expired and now my family is helping him fight it so he doesn't have to go back to India. We hired a lawyer and some other people. They put him an his family through hell and all he does is work to support his fam and pay taxes. This country is messed up in the fact people like that get screwed over an Illegals get a way with alot.

Little secret here buddy....I'm legal too....it cost me over $5,000 dollars with everything I had to go through to come into the USA, and that's without airfares!

But let me tell you this, I am proud of being legal and I am proud of where I came from and I am glad I am in America because I wouldn't have half of what I do if I didn't come here.

Oh, and in honesty everytime I hear about the 'hardships' the illegals go through, I don't feel sorry for them because they make it harder for the legals.

I do however, dislike the tone of this thread towards hispanics, they're not the only peopple coming in illegally, they're just the most obvious about it.

Very well said on both counts.
