Re: how reliable is it

The nice 2g GSX or TSI AWD will be expensive as hell. Your not looking for a very common car, and the people that are selling them know what they have. Good luck, you may have to wait awhile before you find one worth buying.

Re: how reliable is it

im not real woried about dents or something like that cause im will put a body kit on and paint it but i still think ($6000.00) is to much for a 97 and no performance parts on it and still had dents down the side

i think i could do without the turbo just how much more hp do you get with one. but im still gots ta have awd

Re: how reliable is it

You should check the classified section on DSMTuners... Theres always pretty good deals on there. I saw a few 2g's that were 4500 dollars with some upgrades already. Not too shabby if you ask me... Anyways, heres a link to it for you.

Only some of the turbo models came in AWD, none of the N/T. It will be extremely difficult to get over 250 hp on the N/T model without turboing it, so your best bet is to go with the turbo eclipse/talon right off the bat.

Non turbo's never came in AWD, unless you're asking if it would be hard to do it, www.automotivearticles.com the subsidiary of this site, did an AWD conversioin.

With low boost and the right ECU management it could be somewhat reliable but you're better off in the long run 'getting one that's already turbo'd' as people keep saying.

I really do not want to get into this discussion. I should have known better than to post that because I know all you guys want to do is argue about everything, and I bet anything you won't let this go. I am done with it.
In my opinion its just better to say American company or Japanese Company. Still don't know what to call the DSM's since they were a combination of the two. So I'm just gonna stick with DSM company
