This story dosent add up. It sounds real fishy.
First of all if he was riding your tail like you say there is no room to gain enough momentum to smash your car so hard.
Second of all if he got next to you, why not let him pass and be on his way?
why entice him?
I happen to know from first hand experience that those Turbo diesels are slow, how the fuck can you not outrun it in a 3000GT? I smoke those fat cows left and right!

If he wanted to hit you, let him hit you! he touches you and you sue his ass off.

Either way Im not calling BS on you, I just think there is something missing.
Im not gonna give you any advise but I will tell you what I would do in your case.

ok, to address this one by one... he had enough room the last time... but he kept going... I didn't try to entice him... I was doing the speed limit, he got beside me like he wanted to race and slowed back down and got behind me... then flashed his brights... u gotta remember, I got some rice on my ride... I know that his truck is f'in slow... but it wasn't stock... I did leave him, several times... but I thought he'd get the picture and get off my ass... he did hit me... I'm working on the whole suing thing... but the officer was an asshole (I think they knew each other)... I thought a/b fucking w/ his stuff... but I'm gonna be straight up, at least until the whole court thing's over with... if not, then I'll borrow a car and toast his ass... but he knows my car...

I think I've got enough info to take him down, I'm just really paranoid, I'll fuck something up... I've never been in an accident... gotta remember, I'm only 19... my mom also happened to venture over top of a hypodermic needle that night... the tire was flat by lunch time the next day... I'm just trying to dig up shit on this guy right now... I wanna know a little more a/b him b4 I go headstrong with one or two arguments... plus there's a lot of other shit going on right now... so I'm left with very little time to think things through...

I'll just tell you one, my g/f moved outta parent's house... now I'm trying to help her get a car and have a place to stay, until then I go everyday and try to find her a way to school and work... then I start school on Monday (college)... so I've spent all week straightening that out... and I work full-time... damnit... too much...

Ive got a 2500 Turbo diesel, it does about 100 stock, but doesnt get there fast. If he was doing over 100 like you said then its most likely modified at which point top speed goes out the window. $400 and you gain 70hp and almost 200 fl/lbs of torque.

He is SOHC, and turbo diesels are slow stock (21 sec 1/4 mile), but they are very very easily modified to be much faster.

Intake, exhaust, 2 chips, and a bigger turbo will get you into the 13-14 second range.

Yeah, most of the people around here that have TDs don't keep them stock... I've got a buddy who's pushing close to 500hp.... he's upgraded injectors and a turbo... prolly the MBC too, and an EGT gauge... I think he also had a chip/programmer...

Yeah, to my understanding, they are electronically-limited... but that's easily eliminated... I haven't been able to find out much a/b the truck he's driving... I know it's a 2002... he said he had cruise on... and I found a cruise control recall for the 2002's... which stated that the vehicles may not come out of cruise in time enough to prevent an accident... but I'm not too worried there... I looked over my pics tonight... I have assembled a/b 8 pics for my lawyer... and I have also duplicated them and circled key things that will swing the case in my favor...

but as far as my Stealth (and especially insurance) is concerned... it's totaled... it could prolly be straightened out, but with a lot of time and money... and I'm starting college and am broke already...

BTW as Talskiny said, I do have the SOHC... read my sig, that's the only mods that I got (that I know of...)...

Thanks Igo... that's prolly a good idea... I didin't think of that... I do believe, after talking to my lawyer, I have enough evidence to prove myself innocent of fault in this case. We will not be using the whole story, just the closest events to the accident. If necessary, we will go abck and use the whole "tailgating/racing" accusation... but for now, there's enough evidence to show that I wasn't at fault, by way of the skid marks... I also have plenty of photographs that validate the location of the vehicles...

sry you feel that way loe... my g/f has been there with me when I used to race the vehicle on the track... sat on the sidelines and been in the vehicle as well..l. I know the limits of my vehicle, as well as the condition of the vehicle and tires and what-not... and apparently the brakes work...

The Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo diesel is bad luck. I drive one of those every day at work. Its slow but has lots of torque. I had an employee (who is now fired) put a wheelbarrel on the back of it without tying it down. I falls of on a highway (speed limit was only 40mph) and caused a three car pile up. My company is now being sued and I ended up with a $164 ticket (impeding traffic, spilling a load). However Im still working and the guy that put it on there is fired. My boss was even nice enough to pay the ticket. The only damage I saw out of it was a few points off my license and a bad record for my insurance.

I just hate TAILGATERs.... no matter what they're driving... freakin' A, I almost got hit on the way to work, an '01 Eclipse... kept tailgating and switching lanes behind me... I was switching and trying to get away... it really pissed me off...

Mike, good luck with the case but I believe ioeman has a valid point. Please, please, please reconsider driving like that with someone else in your vehicle. The consequences FAR outweigh the benefits. In a split second, anything could go wrong. Just because you know the limits of your vehicle doesn't stop some freak accident from occuring. (i.e. a blown tire)

I understand, maybe it's just my young attitude towards things... and I've never had a tire blow out... I'm sure it's bound to happen one day though... I usually try to keep decent one's up there... cept I have a really bad one now... and I'm trying to leave it on until after this all gets over with (it's on the back...)

AHA!... My insurance agent got up with me today... he went to go take pictures of the scene (like a week later, lol)... but he confirmed the location, then took his own photos, I sent him some, and he definitely said I wasn't at fault... he's gonna take my photos to the other insurance company and ask for a settlement. He said he don't think it would even have to go to court... if the other insurance company calls me up, he told me to tell them how it went down... so they know, and don't think it's fraud... he said they'll prolly pay for it... to keep away from a lawsuit, and because he was behind me...
Insurance agent was gonna talk to lawyer today, but he's off (lawyer) for the holiday... so I'll know a little more tomorrow...

I'm pretty sure they'll wanna get their own pictures of the car too... so I don't know if I should take my parts off of there or not... that's kinda been
bugging me... but I kinda wanna leave it the way it is for now...
