Re: Side View Mirrors

the colors i have on my mirrors are as follows..

driver side mirror:

Black
Black
White
Green
Yellow

Passenger side mirror:

Black
Black
Red
Purple
Yellow

now, these are the wires that come from the mirror..

i was wondering which colors from the truck i would match up to this, in order to make it work..

and where about in the dash would i find the wire for the defroster circuit.? and what color would it be?

Re: Side View Mirrors

Maybe I just don't understand the problem, I matched the colors perfectly to the new mirrors and they work perfectly. Maybe switch the two black ones around if it doesn't work.

Re: Side View Mirrors

Mine is a 98. I have no idea what wires came from the switch, what I did was hack the plug off of my 98 mirrors, and then I put it on the new mirrors, and everything works

Re: Side View Mirrors

well, i went through the hassle of hooking the mirrors up today, and boy was it a task.. on the 96's you cant just match the wire because they wont work correctly, in fact.. i cant even get them to move in the riight direction, but i ave up.. right now the up and down motions work correctly, but the left and right are opposite, it doesnt bother me, but yeah..
