I was able to test my front/rear lockers at GOX2. The main test involved a loose rock/dirt 30-40 foot high steep slope with some good sized holes at the top where other 4x4's had spun out. I eased up to it, engaged the lockers and just sort of crawled up it. (This was the first time my wife had ridden with me with lockers. She made some comments about my sanity, got out and filmed it. She stayed in the car on some other milder tests)

One stock Xterra made 3 speed runs at it and spun out.
Jackel (I think) had a welded rear diff and made it on the second try.

Ivan backed off, put the pedal to the metal, charged up spinning and clawing, took a BIG bounce on one of the holes but made it.

I am VERY happy with the lockers.

That's what I like to hear!

Now all we need is to do it again with only the front locker engaged....

Thanks Goth. I don't mind a bit of banter, but if things get too far off the thread then the Axe will fall.

We're still talking about front locker experiences, right?

In my defense I had no idea toy man had lockers. The fact that he made it up so easily really perplexed me untill I found out about the lockers. They just made it to the top of my want list even above a lift. Actually a few days later when we did imogene coming from the other directions I did the same spot in reverse. I just got lucky and found a great line.

I had a thought if I do a rear locker first is there any way to move the limited slip to the front. I do not know if this is even plausible and the nissan mechanic really didn't know when I asked him what do yall think.
