sorry but he will handle better than you cobra boy, I know the stats VERY well on cobra handling, and your year is before they really started beefing it up. And dont talk to me about mods, no mod is as good as a lotus suspension, oh, and to let you know, lotus is an extremly well known creater of cars which are like glue to the road. It floped because it wasnt a major brand and so for the price people wanted a 13 second car which handled like a F1, and make peoples eyes fall out from its glory. You have the 4.6 correct? If you take off the supercharger and swap heads I make more power than you. Now before you go sayin how "well still, I got it you dont" how much did you pay for yours? I payed 3 grand, and I'm still workin on it. And if you wanna bs sayin "please, me race you? Pssh" then it just goes to show you -dont- have a true cobra. Course, thats just my opinion, with some facts thrown in for flavor. :bandit:

Yeah and if I take two coil packs off of my truck you would probably beat me too!

By the way your car weights about 3500lbs per edmunds.

Try using the following calculation to figure this one out.

car math

According to this your bird could run around 14.35 in the quarter mile. With your rear end I will give you 14.7

Assuming DMC12 has 130 hp and weighs in at around 2900lbs he should be running aprox 16.35.

You know the stats? You dont know jack. You think a 94 cobra has a 4.6? a supercharger? Look up the facts before you open your mouth. The 4.6 came out in the 96 cobras, the supercharger is coming out in the 2003 cobras. The 94s had plenty beefed up suspension, easily out handle an old artifact of a delorian or a two ton bird. Not to mention out power both.

I have 3g's into my car, you have how many into yours?
I never said I could outhandle you, I have a luxery suspension, a nice soft ride, this -will- be changed but the delorian will beat you hands down, especally sence your compairing ford suspension to lotus. Bty, the Cobra R is the cobra which would stand a chance, not a tired old 94. :bandit:

Exactly!

Don't make the assumption that just because a Web site says some statistic that it is necessarily correct. That is why we still have industry journals and libraries... because Web sites have been known to be wrong. The info on DMC has to be the most incorrect I've seen. It is cool, though, because people think my car is slow & heavy... then they are surprised when I waste their azzzez Hehehehe...

But hey, if you want to believe that your Cobra is the best car on the road (or at least better than my car), then you are entitled to your opinion. I would love to see what your car can do, but I'm gonna step down for tonight because its time to go home... see all later.

Tired old 94 suspension eh? I never was comparing cobra handleing to the bird, I have no problem with thunderbirds. If you like the bigger more luxery ride cars thats fine. What Im talking about is the delorian out handleing a modern suspensioned cobra. The delorian was cutting edge in its day, today that very same standard is not all that. Sure if I ever decide to visit the west coast Ill look ya up and burn some tires.

Do you guys actually think a 130 hp delorian is going to out run a cobra? Quite sad.

you just dont give up do you? Well first, it does make more than 130, more around 160, and right now it weighs only probally 2600, with a lil work, 200hp and lighter, then well see :bandit: But i'll leave this to DMC12 to argue.

Give me some 1/4 mile timeslips, and then we will talk about delorians "beating" cobras. Everything else is speculation.

Damn, I leave for the weekend & look waht happens...

Okay, let me clarify some things here. No DeLorean left the factory with an engine other than the PRV V-6. This engine is the same 1 used in the Alpines in Europe (look it up on Google). The gearing is rally-refined (I can go 30-40 in 1st gear- if I wanted to).

I am a fan of the 2002 Cobra. Can I beat a 2002? I do not know for sure, but I will be getting time slips soon... as I would like to clear up all this shit-talk I get from kids with Civics.

As for advances in handling, the average 2002 is just NOW reaching the level of engineering in the DMC. I have driven many, many cars in my life, and the DMC handles the best (IN MY OPINION). It beats the S2000 (which I felt was an over-rated kiddie-cart).

Usually I don't go around judging people's rides.... The way I see it: it is your personal expression, and art is very subjective. But when people start talking shit about my ride, its time to bend over 'cause I'm bout to ram my foot up your azz, foo!!!
