Your brake ECM much like a engine ECM (or PCM used in more modern cars) uses a memory to retain the reason why the light was on. If you pull the brake codes. It will tell you what the problem was but no I was not sure if it was still on or went off but since it was on. I am sure you have a code in there.

The ABS sensor in the hub may not be working correctly if the light should stay on. This is like an $18 part at O'Reilly's. It shouldn't affect your driving, but if you get on a slick road, and try to stop that wheel may not work as it should. Ooops.
