if you were that low on fluid then you must have a leak. Check under the hood and underneath the car for leaks. My guess is it will be leaking under the slave cylinder which is on the tranny. You will be able to shift for a while but you will lose fluid again and again you will have the same problem.

As they have said... you sound as though you have a leak... though it may be small to begin with... it will get worse... Go ahead and look for that leak, check underneath your dash as well, the master cylinder may be leaking... the hoses as well, I wish you luck

i got it running sat morning but i am still going to replace the slave cylinder and upgrade to stainless steel braided clutch line, thats in about 3 weeks though

That's cool, glad to hear that it's running again... yeah that'll be a nice upgrade... wonder how long they're supposed to last (prolly life of car, but Idk for sure)
