We don't know enough about it to get offended. It could have just been a tiny little shank. Maybe he stabbed him with a fork, a pencil, anything to get this hillbilly off of Dr Dre.

Yeah, normally I'd be against the use of a knife in such a, for lack of a better word, non-extreme situation. Yes, I carry a knife with me. Why? Because of the three times I've been jumped, all of them have been close to my home and all by people I know/knew. Have I had to pull it in either of the 3? No.

But, on the apposing side, if Young Bucks felt that Dr. Dre's life was in immediate danger, it could very well justify the use of a knife or lethal weapon. Under the law it says that only if your life is in immediate danger does it justify the use of lethal force. If someone is waving a gun at you, it does NOT justify using a lethal weapon. If someone says they're going to kill you, it does not justify a knife. If someone has their finger on the trigger and the gun is cocked and loaded AND pointed at you, that justifys lethal force. As does a charge with a knife or other deadly object.

BUT... It's all the way the court sees it in the end. this time, they saw it to be justifyable. Next time, maybe not.

1st and foremost, yes, the punishment received was too harsh, on both parties. That'd be like giving 3 years for every bar fight. The attacker should have gotten an overnighter and some fines and probabtion but b/c it was a star, he got 3 years. The stabber should have gotten a medal. If some guy walks up and punches you and your buddy stabs him, should your friend be in jail?
