What aobut a high displacement DOHC V6 in a grandma car? Or a very high dispacement supercharged v6 in a VERY grandma car?

<3 to my Z34. It's a POS but it still puts the smack-down on the ricers.
and <3 to my buddies regal GS with exhaust, LSD, and 3.8 pulley. It puts the smack down on ME in a bad way, nevermind the civics.

trying to force the car into gear without pushing the clutch in or having matched RPM, really grinds my gears.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

well, since the biggest v6 they ever put into a "grandma" car that i know of is only a 3.8L, Supercharged, non-intercooled, and FWD... very heavy at best. can you stay understeer ? i think they were somewhere in the neighboorhood of 240~ hp, not a slouch, but if i wanted something fast i wouldn't be buying one of those. the regal GNX is hardly grandma in any way shape or form.... its the only buick worth a damn, being as how its RWD

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

uh, i was talking about a 2002 regal GS, very much FWD. And with the proper suspension modifications, understeer is not a problem.

*edit* but what REALLY was the bees knees was my ex's 91 supercoupe. RWD S/c ford 3.8 putting out 230 hp, and 320 torques! God almighty i put the hurt down on so many bitches in that car. And the scream of the s/c just made it that much more satisfying.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

you know what i hate......being grouped into being a ricer just because i drive an Acura Integra GSR.....it will probably make more noise than your car when i'm done, but that's because my Teggy has an appointment w/ a T3/T04E 60trim monster....

I do have to agree tho that i HATE the little fags that take their bone stock cars....remove the hubcaps, weld on a fart can, get subs and think they're hot shit.........they need to wake the fuck up!!

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

what wrongwith removing hubcaps?

I hate them.... I think they're ugly and tacky and would rather drive on donuts than put them back on.

hey, i got subwoofers too!

and i pulled my muffler off, and put on an intake.

I'm a ricer!

Except for the .60 T3 sitting at home waiting for me to get a new fuel rail.

well, i just don't find anything redeeming about a powerful FWD car... you can't get hooked up, you can't slide thru corners, but they are safe, they are very predictable.... etc, etc, i can't really say much because i drive a FWD car... lol sorry but my idea of a decent FWD car, power or not does not fall under the criteria of a buick.

now, a supercoupe is a different story. a good friend of mine's stepdad had an old supercoupe that had alot of work done to the heads and a 19lb pulley on the blower. it was OVER 300hp at the wheel and a terror to drive... (at least for a v6) but, a supercoupe or even a turbocoupe (2.3L turbo Thunderbird) doesn't fall under the criteria "grandma car".

and all this ricer crap... if you take your hubcaps off, whatever... this time of year it snows and the shit gets behind your hubcaps and throws your tire balance off. and anyone that does a weld-on fart can and a cold air intake to their honda, or any other crapper, and thinks it made their car faster... whatever. i've found that many people can't afford to take their car to a chassis dyno to actually test whether or not it made a difference. i think the CAI and the fart can effect is mostly in your head, because those type of mods don't really help unless you have forced induction, or have done nasty n/a tuning. call me a hater...but don't attack me. i've just spent alot of time reading and learning firsthand what works and what doesn't. all in good fun ppl.
