hey fly... ok, i was just letting you know. that does look real nice. a 99 M3 motor!!! i bet that thing hauls big time!!!!

my brother has an E36 M3 and an E30 325is and i get to ride in both of them pretty often. the M3 is way more powerful, but once he gets his good tires and suspension in on his E30, it will probably handle better than the M3.

an e30 m3 doesnt fall in the old car category. especially the one i posted about with the 99 m3 motor. hmm... an m3, if treated properly, will handle equally, whether it is an e30 36 or 46... and they dont sound like they are going to fall apart. you need to ditch the negative attitude about old cars. go to a concours de legance... do those old cars sound like they are gonna fall apart?
not like this has anything to do with the topic, but the thread did not ask your opinion on old cars...
just which one you think would be your fave m3

WTF???? i said it was just my opinion and that i totally respect your opinion if you like old cars........ that's no negative attitude!! an E30 in my opinion looks and sounds like an older car, and yes that does fit in to this topic

i did not bite heads.
damn.
fact of the matter is that i explained my point.
if you dont like how i explained it, hell, thats fine and dandy.

the reason i said that is b/c you said old cars sound like they are going to fall apart. there are tons of old cars that sound healthier than anything out now...
and there are tons of new cars that are rattletraps...
i dont mean to offend, but hell, read what you said, then read my response. i dont say things like that for no reason.

IMO, I think that Gan$tarr deserved some of that cause he did imply that old cars are unnreliable, but Flylwsi, you did post a whole reply on how Gan$tarr should resvise his OPINION so I think a little"Don't Bash old cars" would have been alright.

fly i think YOU should re-read what i wrote, not me! I said that i think that old cars are soudn like they're gunna fall apart, in my opinion!! fuck, i can have my own opinion...... i like how a civic sounds now better than how an old mustang sounds.... i just don't like the old car sounding engine..... holy hell

like in the fast and the furious, the old car i'll admit sounds good for it's age, but i think the supra sounds better..... i just don't like the loud old sounding engines

I CAN HAVE AN OPINION CAN'T I??????

a car that sounds like it is going to fall apart vs an old car that is well maintained... two different things.
old cars dont sound like they are going to fall apart, if they are well maintained. that is what i am talkin about. i hate beaters too. but i love old cars as much as new ones...
feel free to have an opinion, but you DID group all old cars into the "sounding like they are going to fall apart category"

i'm gonna have to agree with fly on this one. you did say all old cars sound like they're going to fall apart. that is not true at all. an E30 M3 sounds real nice. and i bet a 328, 308, or any "old" ferrari sounds nice as well.

no i said in my opinion they sound like they're gunna fall apart..... i respect how they sound good to somebody else, I think i was a little extreme there though..... just quote me on this: I like how new cars sound, better than older cars. Okay?

btw one of my friends dads has a Ferrari 328 some special edition i forget what it's called.... it's pretty sweet, and i do think it sounds pretty good too, but i like the sound of a new Ferrari better
his dad lets him drive the Ferrari around, that bastard!!

irony struck me when i re read this...
the car in the fast and the furious... the charger.
hmm .... old car... yeah. but i know for damn sure that the motor is maybe a year old built like that...
alot of nice old cars have motors that were built oh, recently.
they usually have new parts with new blocks. essentially new motors. so why not like the sound of an "old" motor if it is new?
