Re: Blazer audio

Those Woofers are nice but I'm a big kicker fan. I love there woofer but there amps are bad. i have 2 15 inch SOLO Barics l7 in my 2001 LT , The max wattage for 1 speaker is 2000 watts. hehe they hit very hard but there kinda expensive.

kicker subs= yea theyre loud, but thats all i can say for them, and kicker amps are good. i wouldnt suggest any kicker subs for anything. unless your going for strictly spl

AFTER PLAYING IN CAR AUDIO FOR QUITE AWHILE, GO WITH THE JL AUDIO STEALTH BOX. THE CHROME AUTOBAHN IS A BANDPASS BOX ALL YOUR GOING TO HEAR IS DEEP BASS. THE JL AUDIO STEALTH BOX IS SEALED AND HOUSES A 10'' SUB. THIS BOX SOUNDS GREAT ON ROCK, COUNTRY, RAP... ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN THROW AT IT. THE BONUS IS ITS HIDDEN, NOT TOO BAD ON THE WALLET, AND YOU DONT HAVE TO FEED IT ALOT OF WATTS. FOR WHAT YOUR AFTER THATS WHAT I'D PICK. GOOD LUCK

Re: Blazer audio

I would recommend the stealth subs.

I had 2 12's in the back with a cheap pioneer 760W (probably just 200W bridged) amp used off ebay for $20. It could get loud enough to be ghetto and annoying, but was perfect for driving around. I really can't tell much difference between the systems, but that doesn't mean I wasn't trying. Anything in the back sounds better than the stock setup.

I don't know why someone would pay so much for a sweet non distorting system, when everything in the blazer rattles and makes noise anyway. Chances are you'll get tired of your expensive system taking up half of your storage space and forget to put it back in your trunk after the 1000th time your stuck taking it out to fit something in.

I did a search on stealth subs, theyre made by cerwin vega. Anything from cerwin vega is good. Cant go wrong there either.

Re: Re: Re: Blazer audio

OK, Here we go. I don't think you need all that extra subs. I have 1, 10" JBL sub with a 1K Kenwood amp. The bass on that can be nice and tight, Perfect for jazz and mellow listening, and can be brain pounding the way the young generation likes it. When my son take my Blazer out. I can always hear him coming home about 5 houses away. Plus you really don't need all those lights and chrome. Unless your planning on entering a car show.

Jl audio states the stealthbox wont fit a 1997 2 door. Does anyone know if there is a stealthbox type style that will?

Well the stealth box is really awesome but they do not have any local vendors and I can not find any online. I went to jlaudio.com but they do not sell them and they have no online referals. I will have to take almost an hour drive to find a place that can order one for my truck. That sux. Ebay does not have any for me either.
Then again buying it locally would save me on shipping. My brother lives about 30 minutes from that local dealer so I might get him to get it for me.

Still undecided though. What are these things going for?

There are no 2 door stealth boxes..;.You can shave it down a little bit (about an inch) to make it fit.

There is a Jl Audio dealer in Tifton. About 50 miles from ya if you want to make the drive. You can simply call them and order it and have them drop ship it to you.

Re: Blazer audio

Well I will call them. That is the place I mentioned being an hour away. We have 4 stereo shops in town. I might call them to see if they carry it, maybe they are not listed on the jl site. Get pricing.
