Re: Pearl White or Metallic Silver

good question, It took me almost a year before I was finally taught how to

It's pretty much the same on all forums.

You first need the pic's on a web space. Cardomains.com has a very popular one.
Then to place them on the board you must write it down exactly like i show you

the top left autoforum pic would look like this without any spaces

Also, you can use www.imageshack.us and just copy and paste the links that they give you. Or you can use www.photobucket.com And just link the url to you album in your post.

Re: Pearl White or Metallic Silver

You'll have to ask movin2stereo that, or better yet the guy that'll spray your truck.

In all reality I was able to give my Blazer 2 coats of paint with 1 quart, so it should be enough. But the pro's might use thicker coats or more coats.

pro's use thinner coats, thick coats cause crows feet in the paint... if votec is painting it, as movin 2 said, it is practice for the students, not the instructor demonstrating, and as long as it looks better then pure ass, they will not re-do the vehical for free, that costs the school money... keeping close to your original color helps the students out, its easyer to do... and only being in high school good luck with the 350 swap, or super, either one will run you close to 3500 bucks

Well the 350 swap or the 4.3 super or turbocharger will be a project for me and my dad.. its something he has wanted to do with the truck for a while.

Yea it really depends on who's spraying it and how good the paint covers.Usually your looking at 2-3 coats of basecoat.Your question about the 1 quart, well keep in mind that most basecoats get mixed with a reducer. We use PPG,where I work.Basecoat is a 1 to 1 mix(1 part basecoat to 1 part reducer). So your 1 quart will turn into 2 quarts. So that sould be enough, but I've never used that product.

Re: Pearl White or Metallic Silver

I envy you with your dad wanting to do that to a s-10. I can't get my dad conviced to help me drop a small block in mine, so I'm workin on him to help me rebuild my 4.3 with some extra goodies...

Re: Pearl White or Metallic Silver

My dad loves cars... he use to work in a machine shop that built engines or anything for engines, he said once UPS somehow managed to break maincaps! He had a drag car in hs/college, and I'm like, what the heck dad, you had a drag car, dozens of muscle cars, etc, and you won't let me put a small block in a TRUCK!?

Re: Pearl White or Metallic Silver

Dang, I wish my dad worked in a machine shop.. well the only thing about my truck is it is more of a show truck than a race truck.. I went with the 18" wheels with a mid pro tire... painted to match interior with black seats with a kick A$$ stereo .. so u know how that goes
