i removed it and took the nuts off but still cant get the column off the bolt the bracket is right above the brake pedal right?. ill get you a pic im layed off from work so i have all the time in the world.

You've been working at the base of the column all this time?!!?!?! The bracket for the column is at the TOP of the steering column, just under the knee bolster! No wonder you're having problems! You're working at the bottom, not the top of the column. Nothing needs to be removed at the base. Just the 2 15mm bolts at the top

i have a GMc sonoma and i had problems geting it to what u do ispull it as close to the streeting wheel u mite have to bend it. the force the drive side part of it out then swing it around.
