the reason it blow up was due to the rings. they seized up and such, it was a 83 chevy 305 that ran strong til the rings seized up. An automatic with true dual just exhast tubbing from the manifold back.

if this was in like 6 months from now, i'd sell you my cat off of my car....i'm removing it and it'd probably fit....i guess idk for sure

yeah i definetaly agree theres no way in HELL you can blow your motor up by taking the cat off

thanks for the offer...but im not to key on buying used things for my car. I will be picking up the magnaflow high flow thursday i think.

Ever watch drag racing?I don't know about you but I have never seen a top fuel dragster or funnycar have cats hanging off their headers.For that fact never seen cats on anything going down the quarter mile.So the no cat=engine damage seems bunk to me.Back to the subject.High flow cats are basically straight pipes anyway.A small version of a cherry bomb.That's why the check engine light will stay on,cause the high flow cat doesn't do anything compared to the stock.

where did you get your 2.5" exhaust tubing? did you get a signifigant improvement from the setup?

I got all the stuff from www.performance-curve.com (Cat, Tubing, and 90 Degree bends)
