Re: how come they....
i'm talking new...i was the only one who got an old car because i wanted my first car to be MY first car, with no help at all. yes i got made fun of, no i don't care. My car starts...sometimes, drives, most of the itme, and gets me where i want to go all of the time. I'm happy with that (jk jk)
You bring up a good point, yes they're trying to hit a certain demographic. With the more economical BMW 3 series, it seemed to cheapen the prestige of having a beemer for the loyalists. Still, if its 44Gs for the TT, i can understand that, but for a midlevel supra, it can't be more than a high end 350z. Then you're on the same level of caliber car, atleast for the enthusiast. As for the pricing war we're having, i will state that it can't be more than 30-45, same as it was before. Even the RX-8 was cheaper than the RX-7. I'll stick by that, Sigma, you stick to the 40s-50s, and cali, you go with your lexus pricing. I hope we'll finish this thread in a year ;-). Oh, and how much would you pay for a 90-92 A/T turbed supra? Everything stock. |

Re: how come they....
A/T? mb $3000-3500 top including regist. Im still not sure Toyota will make Supra fast and cheap. Considering the "plastic interior" image the company already burdened with. I am aware that supra will going to compete w/ nissan's high end, but won't it be the infiniti series instead of Z? After all in Japan, Supra competed popularities and sales with GT-Rs...though most bought GT-R for its cheaper price ($40-45G). But then we're talking american market. lol, yes, Ill hold to the high end of prices here...
