Re: 6-bolt swap, test drive, some issues, please read:
Just wanted to verify that the MDP sensor is indeed only used to verify that the EGR is working. It's the whole purpose of onboard diagnostics, to be able to see that the emiisions crap is still working in real time. With DSMlink, you don't need the sensor, and can use the ECU input for WBO2, Boost logging, etc. If you need to keep the CEL away, just tee it into any manifold port (E port, BOV, etc). If you no longer run EGR you can run a long vac line to that MDP sensor, sometimes the resulting pressure drop tricks the ECU into thinking the EGR is functioning. Never tried that one myself though
Base timing is 5 degrees, but good luck grounding the ECU so the timing is held static. The 95s had a connector on the firewall you could ground, and 1Gs have a pin in the datalink connector. 96 and up cars are kind of screwed, but luckily DSMlink comes to the rescue once again with the "ground timing" or "ground diag" deature in the miscelaneous section

Hey, just a quick question because i may be doing this too. Is this going to be the only issue when having the complete swap done when done by professionals? Is this the only sensor that wont be on the 1g manifold?

Re: 6-bolt swap, test drive, some issues, please read:
Yes, I believe so. Everything else transfers over (except the whole CAS thing of course). If you are using DSMlink to defeat the random misfire CEL/limpmode problem, you can simply tell the ECU to stop looking for EGR functionality. It will still be working, but the ECU won't be looking for the MDP sensor to verify that it is. So many people with 6 bolt swaps running DSMlink could explain why you dn't often hear of this problem.
